ABICOR Binzel USA, Inc. is recruiting within our Marketing Department for a Marketing Specialist to join our team in our Frederick, Maryland office. This role will work across multiple departments to assist in the execution of the marketing plan.
Essential Functions:
• Learn the portfolio and the products
• The key to marketing our products is having an elemental understanding of the products, their function and how they fit in the marketplace
• This position works closely with several departments especially sales, product management, and engineering so being able to communicate marketing strategies across several departments is critical to success of marketing campaigns
• Understand key USPs (unique selling points) to better create content
• Develop and work on the marketing plan
• The marketing specialist will play a key role in the creation and development of the marketing plan
• November and December, the marketing department works with the product group to set the content and strategy for the next year
• Take information from sales, product management, and engineering to formulate a plan
• Strategize product launch dates
• Ability to develop and execute a content strategy and calendar
• Write, proofread, and make necessary edits to content to be used in a variety of communication mediums and audiences
• Develop content in line with the marketing plan including blogs, videos, photos & social media posts
• Publisher Advertisements
• Attend and coordinate relevant trade shows Fabtech
• Help organize the layout of the booth
• Help manage the delivery, setup, and teardown of the booth

• Some travel is required. Any on-site marketing content will require a person from marketing present. Once a year, a marketing meeting is planned in Germany. Once to twice a year, a trip with a District Sales Manager is expected to understand what is really happening in the market, and to get VOC (voice of customer).

Duties & Responsibilities
• Assist and/or be Responsible for the Maintenance of Networks, Servers, Clients, and IT Security
• Troubleshooting with Microsoft SQL, Visual Basics, Reporting Services, and SharePoint
• Diagnosing system errors and other issues
• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware from all users.
• Writing, editing, and revising procedures for new and updated software and hardware.
• Supporting the Office Network, Switches, Firewall, Wi-Fi, and Telephone System.

Requirements

• Microsoft Dynamics NAV experience is required

Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of manual machines, CNC controllers, and software including G-Code, Mazatrol, and Part Maker
• Experience with milling, lathe, and CNC operations.
• Experience working with Mazak Quickturn 250MSY, Ganesh Cyclone 32CS, and HAAS Super VF2 extremely helpful
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces
• Use precision measuring instruments such as coordinate measuring machines (CMM), bore gauges, and hand tools to ensure the accuracy of machined parts
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes
• Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize production efficiency and minimize waste
• Assemble finished parts into complete products as required
• Proven experience as a machinist

ABICOR BINZEL USA, Inc. is hiring for a Applications/Service Engineer:
This position will require varied interaction with customers in support of technical projects Abicor Binzel is engaged in. Remote position with a focus on and around technical support for automation-related projects not limited to sensor-based processes for seam tracking, weld inspection, integration and commission of remote and tactile laser projects, and various arc welding applications including support of cobots, power sources, and the related. Work will be a combination of remote and in-field based on company needs. A strong understanding of automated welding processes, industrial communications, and their application is required for this role.
Primary Responsibilities:

Direct interaction with customer Maintenance and Engineering teams in support of new and existing applications in the field. This role will support activities primarily in the US and Canada. Work in Mexico is unlikely, but possible.

Support Abicor Binzel automation projects as it pertains to the various stages of customer needs. Will include remote technical support via phone, remote log in to established systems and other to address customer related issues.

In-person support for initial installation and commissioning of hardware, debug and troubleshooting of customer issues related to new and existing applications, and in field repair of items where required.

Typical products included as part of offerings include cobot based welding applications, sensors of various sorts that apply to seam tracking, automated weld inspection, gas management, and laser weld monitoring. Additional areas of opportunity include support of fume systems, downdraft tables, and other technical offerings within the welding automation market.

Must show the ability to learn new technologies and provide varied levels of technical expertise both internal to the organization and with customers in support of company objectives.

Establishes / maintains customer confidence at high levels and develops positive customer relationships

Essential Experience & Skills:

Associate's Degree or higher – focus in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related.

Experience and proficiency with industrial communication protocols – Ethernet IP, Device Net, Profinet, etc.

Experience and proficiency in areas of computer-based protocols (Java, Python, C++) preferred.

Experience in PLC programming preferred, troubleshooting and general understanding at a minimum

Experience in industrial robots as it pertains to interfacing and programming. Preferred robots would be Fanuc, Yaskawa, and ABB. Others are acceptable.

Candidate must have hands-on experience associated with automation in welding-based operations (MIG and / or laser preferred) be they related to the support of day-to-day operations in manufacturing, system build, or applications development
