Health risk due to inhalation of harmful welding and grinding fumes

The welding and grinding process produces fumes containing harmful dust particles which can settle on surfaces and get into the ambient air. They can damage the respiratory system when inhaled.

  1. Check and wear your personal protective equipment.
  2. Only use the device in rooms which are sufficiently ventilated.
  3. Make sure that all the seals on the device are free of dirt.
  4. Always only operate the device with the designated filter.
  5. Always only operate the device with the dust collecting container closed.
  6. Do not open the dust collecting container until at least one minute after switching the device off.
  7. Keep the device closed during operation and the dedusting process.
  8. Remove dust deposits in the surrounding area immediately using an industrial vacuum cleaner of dust class H or a damp cloth.

Risk of injury due to moving extraction arm

If the extraction arm is protruding when the device is moved, it could cause injury to people standing nearby.

  1. Only move the device when the extraction arm is upright.

NOTE

notice

Material damage due to device tipping over

If the extraction arm is protruding when the device is moved, it could cause the device to tip over.

  1. Only move the device when the extraction arm is upright.

NOTE

notice

Property damage caused by excess rotation of the extraction arm

The extraction arm may become damaged if it is rotated past its limit stop.

  1. Do not rotate the extraction arm past the limit stop (max. 350°).
  1. Adjust the extraction arm to accommodate the work task.
  2. Adjust the extraction hood to accommodate the work task. The extraction hood must be located approx. 20 cm (8 inches) above the welding point during operation.
  3. Establish an electrical connection.
  4. Switch on the LED light on the extraction hood.
  5. Adjust air volume to the work task Controlling the volume flow.
  6. Set the <I/O> switch to <I>.
