The device is part of an automated welding system. Welding produces welding fumes that are hazardous to health; they are filtered and cleaned by the device’s internal filters.

The device can be used for extraction during the welding or grinding of steels with an alloy content of nickel and chrome less than 30 %.

The welding fumes are sucked through an extraction hood on the extraction arm into the middle section of the device. The welding fumes are sucked through a pre-filter and a main filter in the process. The filter membranes trap the dirt particles. Then the cleaned air is routed back to the environment through the exhaust air louvers.

The device can be operated with an extraction arm 2 m, 3 m or 4 m (6.5ft, 10ft or 13ft) in length.

The device contains filters of filter class H13.
