Automatic mode

The device is operated in automatic mode (activated automatic start/stop mechanism) as follows:

If the welding process is interrupted, automated cleaning of the filters occurs after a run-on time of 20 seconds.

  1. To activate the automatic start/stop mechanism, set the <Auto/Manual> switch to <Auto>.
  2. Set the <On/Off> switch to <On>.
  3. The filter membranes are cleaned once.

Once the welding process begins, the device receives a signal from the current clamp and automatically starts the fume extraction process. If the welding process is interrupted, extraction stops after 20 seconds. Automatic cleaning will not start until after that.

Clean the filters regularly to ensure continuous extraction. The cleaning interval depends on the welding process. We recommend starting a cleaning cycle every 2 hours but no later than when the service LED illuminates. The service life of the filter membranes can be lengthened if they are cleaned before the service LED illuminates.

NOTE

notice

Reduced Service Life when not Cleaning the Filters

If the welding process is interrupted, automated cleaning of the filter membranes occurs after a run-on time of 20 seconds. There is no cleaning if the welding process is started beforehand. The service life of the filter membranes is shortened.

  1. Ensure that the welding process is interrupted at least every 2 hours for a minimum of 20 seconds, or perform manual cleaning.

Running the cleaning process manually

  1. Briefly set the <On/Off> switch to <Off>.
  2. Set the <On/Off> switch to <On>.
  3. The filters are cleaned once.

Once the welding process begins, the device receives a signal from the current clamp and automatically starts the fume extraction process.
